Is an active (but dormant) volcano located north of Arusha in Tanzania, the fifth highest mountain on the African continent and the second highest in Tanzania and dominates the Arusha National Park with its huge cliffs.

The mountain became famous because it is 70 km from Mount Kilimanjaro and its height approximately to 4,562 metres.

Mt. Meru has become a popular “warm up” trek for Kilimanjaro climbers.
