Oldoinyo Lengai.
Means “The Mountain of God” in the Maasai language. The summit of this strato-volcano is 2962 metres above sea level, and affords direct views into the caldera of Tanzania’s only officially-certified active volcano, and the world’s only carbonatite volcano. The Mountain frequently does minor eruptions and form cone like structures to its crater base, the largest of which deposited ash 100 kilometres away in Loliondo.

What you need to know during COVID-19.
Tanzania is open to all international #tourists who have a negative COVID test result.
Currently, #Tanzania has a low barrier to entry for most tourists and no warning by the CDC, making it a great next vacation destination for this fall. Entry requirements are simple: visitors must take an RT-PCR test within 72 hours of arrival and complete an online Public Health Surveillance Form within 24 hours from website https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz/ . If you’re coming from a country with a high rate of COVID infections, you may also be required to take another rapid COVID test upon arrival.
